The TITAN USA TC17632 is a 4-flute, solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 0.5-inch cutting diameter, a 1.5-inch length of cut, and a 6-inch overall length, making it well suited for side milling, slotting, and profiling work. The tool is coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), which improves heat resistance and extends tool life in high-speed cutting of ferrous and hardened materials. Manufactured from micrograin carbide, the TC17632 delivers consistent edge integrity across demanding cutting cycles. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this tool in standard end mill holders and collet chucks.
This end mill is used in job shops, production machining, and toolroom environments handling ferrous metals, stainless steels, and similar hard materials. The 30-degree helix angle and upcut flute geometry promote efficient chip evacuation, which reduces heat buildup and recutting of chips during deep or long-reach cuts. The right-hand cut, right-hand flute configuration is the standard orientation for conventional CNC vertical and horizontal milling machines. Centercutting capability allows the tool to plunge directly into a workpiece without a pre-drilled pilot hole.
Designed for use in standard 0.5-inch end mill holders, collet chucks, and shrink-fit toolholders on CNC vertical machining centers and manual knee mills. No specific compatible machine models were provided in the product data.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Before installing or removing any end mill, confirm the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an e-stop or safe state. Secure the shank fully within the collet or toolholder to the recommended engagement depth per the toolholder manufacturer guidelines. Verify runout with a dial test indicator before beginning a production cut, as excessive runout accelerates wear and can cause premature tool failure.
