The TITAN USA TC17017 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in metal, composite, and engineered material applications. With a 0.25 inch cutting diameter, a 1.5 inch length of cut, and a 6 inch overall length, this tool handles slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling where tight tolerances are required. The two-flute geometry and 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The bright, uncoated finish makes this end mill well suited for non-ferrous metals and general-purpose machining where coating is not needed. Machinists, tool and die shops, and CNC operators are the primary users.
This end mill is intended for use in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills where a 0.25 inch shank is compatible with standard collets or end mill holders. The 6 inch overall length provides extended reach for setups requiring clearance past fixtures or workholding. Right-hand cut with right-hand flute direction and an upcut flute type make this tool a conventional choice for the majority of milling applications. The 30-degree helix angle balances axial cutting forces for stable performance in both roughing and light finishing passes.
Designed as a standard 0.25 inch shank square end mill compatible with any machine tool fitted with an ER, TG, or equivalent collet system or end mill holder accepting a 0.25 inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator following the machine tool manufacturer's toolholding guidelines. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in an e-stop state before changing tooling. Use a calibrated torque wrench on collet nuts per the collet system manufacturer's specification. Confirm tool runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut.
