The TITAN USA TC15617 is a 4-flute, solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) finish that improves heat resistance and extends tool life in high-temperature cutting environments. The mill diameter measures 0.25 inches with a matching 0.25-inch shank diameter, a 1-inch length of cut, and a 4-inch overall length. A 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, while the centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. This end mill is intended for use by machinists and toolroom professionals operating CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and pocketing operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and alloy materials. The upcut flute geometry lifts chips away from the cut zone, reducing recutting and heat buildup. Its compact 0.25-inch diameter makes it well-suited for fine detail work, narrow slot cutting, and tight-tolerance features in both production and prototype environments. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional CNC spindle operation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting 0.25-inch shank toolholders, collets, or end mill holders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolroom practices. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before inserting or removing the end mill from the toolholder. Verify collet or holder runout is within acceptable tolerance before commencing a cut, as excessive runout accelerates tool wear and can cause premature breakage in small-diameter carbide tooling. Consult the machine manufacturer and applicable shop safety standards for recommended speeds, feeds, and depth-of-cut parameters before use.
