The TITAN USA TC15164 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metalworking applications. With a 1-inch mill diameter and a 2-flute geometry, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and clean, square shoulder cuts. The 2.25-inch length of cut and 5-inch overall length provide good reach for a range of workpiece depths. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating adds heat and wear resistance, making this tool well-suited for dry or high-speed cutting of ferrous and hard materials. Micrograin carbide construction contributes to edge retention and dimensional accuracy over extended run times.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and similar equipment found in production shops, tool rooms, and job shops. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional spindle setups. The upcut flute geometry evacuates chips away from the workpiece, reducing re-cutting. With center-cutting capability, it can be used for plunge entry as well as peripheral milling. Machinists and CNC operators working in steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar materials are the primary end users for this tool.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or upgrade for standard 1-inch shank square end mill applications in CNC machining centers and manual mills using ER, CAT, BT, or similar toolholding systems that accept a 1-inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in a safe-stop state before changing tooling. Use a calibrated toolholder and verify runout with a dial indicator after seating to minimize premature edge wear. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and cutting tool manufacturer recommendations for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut for the specific workpiece material.
