The TITAN USA TC11517 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precise milling operations across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 17/64 inch (0.2656 inch) cutting diameter and a 3/4 inch length of cut, this single-end mill delivers consistent performance in both roughing and finishing passes. The 4-flute geometry combined with a 30-degree medium helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation while maintaining surface finish quality. The bright, uncoated carbide substrate provides a hard, wear-resistant cutting edge suited for general-purpose machining environments.
This end mill is built for general-purpose milling applications in job shops, production machining, and toolrooms. It handles slotting, profiling, and contouring operations in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium. The 5/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders used on vertical machining centers and CNC mills. Its standard length profile makes it a practical choice for everyday milling work where extended reach is not required.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or standard-stock ball end mill compatible with any machine tool equipped with a 5/16 inch collet, end mill holder, or milling chuck. Primary workpiece material compatibility includes steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium (ISO material codes P, M, K, N, S).
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in an e-stop or locked-out state per applicable machine guarding and OSHA lockout-tagout requirements. Seat the 5/16 inch shank fully into the holder to the recommended gauge length before torquing the collet nut or set screw. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or cracks before mounting. Verify spindle speed and feed rate parameters match the material and depth-of-cut specifications called out in the job setup sheet before initiating a cut.
