The TITAN USA TC11412 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 3/16-inch diameter and a 3/8-inch length of cut, this single-end mill is built for tight-tolerance work where rigidity and edge sharpness are critical. The three-flute geometry balances chip evacuation with surface finish quality. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating increases surface hardness and thermal resistance, extending tool life during high-speed or dry-cutting operations. The micrograin carbide substrate supports consistent performance in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills running ferrous alloys, stainless steel, hardened steels, and similar materials where heat generation is a concern. The 30-degree helix angle and right-hand cut with right-hand flute direction make it a standard choice for conventional and climb milling passes. The upcut flute design promotes chip removal from the cutting zone. It is appropriate for use in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments where a small-diameter carbide end mill is required for slotting, profiling, and pocketing operations.
Designed as a standard-shank solid carbide end mill compatible with ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and other 3/16-inch bore toolholding systems used on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop tooling procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth and torque the retention nut per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, particularly for small-diameter tools where runout significantly affects tool life and surface finish.
