The TITAN USA CS50045 is a combination drill and countersink designed to drill a pilot hole and cut a countersink seat in a single pass. Built from high-speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, this tool handles both operations simultaneously, reducing setup time and tool changes. The No. 4 trade size features a 5/16-inch body diameter and a 1/8-inch drill point diameter with a 118-degree drill point angle and a 60-degree included countersink angle. It is suited for metalworking, woodworking, and general fabrication tasks where flush or recessed fastener seating is required. Licensed machinists, pipefitters, and maintenance technicians commonly use this style of tool in production and service environments.
This combo drill countersink fits workflows where a clean countersunk hole is needed for flat-head or oval-head fasteners in a single operation. The right-hand cutting direction and plain cutting edge style make it compatible with standard drill presses, CNC machines, and hand-held power drills. At 5 inches overall length, it provides adequate reach for most bench and light-production applications. The double end type means both ends of the tool are usable, extending service life. It is appropriate for use in light-gauge steel, aluminum, plastics, and similar materials.
Designed as a standard combination drill countersink for use in drill presses, CNC equipment, and hand-held power drills accepting round-shank tooling. Verify chuck capacity and drill press speed settings are appropriate for the 5/16-inch body diameter before use.
This tool is installed by a machinist or qualified technician into a compatible drill chuck or collet. Secure the shank firmly and confirm the spindle speed is set appropriately for the workpiece material and tool diameter before beginning the cut. Always wear appropriate eye protection and secure the workpiece to prevent movement during drilling. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and remove the tool from service if chipping or excessive wear is observed.
