The TITAN USA CS36005 is a solid carbide combo drill countersink designed to drill and countersink in a single pass. It carries a trade size of 5 with a 7/16-inch body diameter and a 3/16-inch drill point diameter. The 118-degree drill point angle and 60-degree included angle on the countersink deliver clean, accurate entry and seating geometry on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. An AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life in demanding cutting applications. Overall length is 2-3/4 inches. This tool is used by machinists and fabricators working in production and maintenance environments where countersunk fastener seating must be precise and efficient.
The CS36005 is suited for applications where a countersunk hole is required for flat-head fasteners in metal, composite, or hard plastic workpieces. The double-end geometry allows the tool to be flipped and reused, extending service life. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional drill press and CNC spindle use. The plain cutting edge style makes it straightforward to resharpen with appropriate carbide grinding equipment when needed.
Designed as a standard trade size 5 combo drill countersink for use in drill presses, CNC machining centers, and manual mills with appropriate collet or chuck toolholding capable of accepting a 7/16-inch body diameter.
Installation and use of this tool should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Secure the workpiece firmly before operation and confirm spindle speed matches manufacturer recommendations for carbide tooling in the target material. Inspect the AlTiN coating and cutting edges before each use and remove the tool from service if chipping or coating failure is observed. Do not exceed the tool's rated cutting parameters, as solid carbide is brittle and susceptible to breakage under excessive lateral load.
