The TITAN USA CD60855 is a wire gauge size 55 cobalt jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in hard and abrasive materials. It carries an ALTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) coating that reduces heat buildup and extends cutting life in demanding applications. The 135-degree split point reduces walking on entry and requires less feed pressure than a standard 118-degree point. With an overall length of 1.875 inches and a 0.875-inch flute length, this bit is suited for precise, short-hole drilling work. It is installed by machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and trades professionals requiring consistent performance in ferrous and exotic materials.
This drill bit is intended for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium — ISO material codes P, M, K, and S. The 0.0520-inch diameter and straight cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard drill chucks and collet holders used in bench drills, CNC machining centers, and handheld drill drivers. The regular spiral and two-flute geometry provide efficient chip evacuation in through-hole and blind-hole applications. It is a single-piece item sold individually.
The CD60855 is compatible with standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 0.0520-inch straight cylindrical shank. Suitable for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and handheld drills. Designed for drilling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium workpieces per ISO material codes P, M, K, and S.
Install and removal should be performed with the machine fully powered down and locked out per applicable OSHA and shop safety procedures. Secure the shank fully within the chuck or collet before use to prevent runout. Do not exceed the recommended maximum drilling depth of 0.875 inches for this flute length. Cutting fluid or coolant application is recommended when drilling stainless steel or titanium, as this bit does not feature through-coolant capability.
