The TITAN USA CD40022 is a 11/32 inch (0.3438 inches) high speed steel jobber drill bit designed for general-purpose drilling in metal fabrication and maintenance applications. Built from high speed steel with a black oxide coating, it features a 118-degree standard point angle and a regular spiral flute configuration with two flutes. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 11/32 inches in diameter and seats securely in standard drill chucks. With an overall length of 4.75 inches and a flute length of 3.4375 inches, the CD40022 is a workhorse bit suited for machinists, pipefitters, sheet metal workers, and maintenance technicians who need reliable, repeatable hole-making performance.
This jobber drill bit is rated for use in a broad range of workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium. Its 10xD flute-to-diameter ratio makes it well-suited for moderate-depth drilling in production and field service environments. The black oxide finish provides light lubricity and corrosion resistance during storage and use. It is packaged individually and sized within the 0.3000 to 0.3500 inch decimal range, making it a direct fit for applications calling for an 11/32 inch drill.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement jobber drill bit in the CD40 series, compatible with standard three-jaw drill chucks accepting a straight-cylindrical 11/32 inch shank in handheld drills, drill presses, and CNC drilling equipment.
Installation is performed by machinists, pipefitters, sheet metal workers, or general maintenance technicians using a standard drill press or handheld power drill with a keyed or keyless chuck. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank fully in the chuck before operation and verify the workpiece is clamped or fixtured to prevent movement. Use appropriate cutting fluid when drilling stainless steel, cast iron, or superalloys to extend tool life. Inspect the cutting edges before use and replace any bit showing chipping, bluing from heat, or excessive wear.
