The TIGRE USA INC 1407-005 is a 1/2 inch polyethylene insert elbow fitting with a female pipe thread (FPT) connection on one end and a barbed insert end on the other. It is designed for use with PE polyethylene pipe in cold water distribution systems and is secured to the pipe using stainless steel clamps. This fitting is rated and listed under ASTM D-2609, NSF 14, and NSF 16 for potable water service. Licensed plumbers and irrigation contractors install this type of fitting in outdoor water supply lines, rural water systems, and agricultural irrigation runs.

This fitting is intended strictly for cold water service in non-dwelling applications such as irrigation systems, rural water distribution, and outdoor plumbing runs. It must not be used with compressed air, gases, or inside a dwelling. The insert barb end connects directly into PE polyethylene pipe, and the female pipe thread end mates to standard threaded pipe or fittings. Stainless steel clamps are required to complete the barb-to-pipe connection and must be used as installed without modification to the fitting body, as any fitting modifications void the warranty.

Installation Notes
