The THOMAS BETTS XC292 is a non-insulated angle conduit connector designed for use with flexible metal conduit (FMC). Constructed from die cast zinc, this fitting uses a squeeze clamp connection method to secure FMC at a 3/4 inch trade size. The angled connector body allows for directional routing in tight spaces where a straight connector would not fit. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this type of fitting when terminating FMC runs into enclosures, junction boxes, or panel knockouts in non-hazardous locations.
This connector is suited for residential and light commercial electrical installations where FMC is routed to motors, appliances, HVAC equipment, or other end devices requiring a flexible conduit connection. The 3/4 inch trade size accommodates standard FMC of that diameter. Its angled body is particularly useful when conduit must make a turn close to the termination point, reducing stress on the conduit and simplifying wire routing in confined equipment spaces.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 3/4 inch trade size flexible metal conduit (FMC) in non-hazardous electrical installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize the circuit and verify power is off before making any conduit terminations. Insert the FMC into the connector body and tighten the squeeze clamp to secure the conduit before pulling wire. Do not use this fitting in hazardous or classified locations.
