The THOMAS BETTS XC269 is a straight, non-insulated conduit connector designed for use with flexible metal conduit (FMC). It uses a squeeze clamp connection method for fast, tool-friendly termination at enclosure knockouts and junction boxes. Constructed from die cast zinc, the XC269 is built for durability in standard commercial and residential electrical installations. At a 3/8 inch trade size, it fits the most common small-diameter FMC runs found in equipment whips, HVAC disconnect feeds, and motor branch circuits. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors are the primary installers of this fitting.
This connector is suited for non-hazardous area applications in both residential and light commercial electrical systems. It is commonly used to terminate 3/8 inch FMC at panelboards, junction boxes, and equipment enclosures where a clean, straight entry is required. The squeeze clamp design eliminates the need for separate locknuts or clamps during assembly, making it a practical choice for high-volume rough-in work and service calls alike.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting for 3/8 inch flexible metal conduit (FMC) terminations in non-hazardous electrical installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. Disconnect and lock out power to the circuit and enclosure before beginning work. Insert the FMC into the connector body and tighten the squeeze clamp mechanism to secure the conduit before threading the connector into the knockout. Do not overtighten the clamp, as die cast zinc fittings can crack under excessive force.
