The THOMAS BETTS TV14-6LF-XV is a partially insulated locking fork terminal designed for secure crimp connections in electrical wiring applications. Rated at 600 volts, it features a blue vinyl insulation sleeve and a copper contact body with a titanium nitride (TiN) contact plating for reliable conductivity and corrosion resistance. The locking fork design prevents the terminal from backing off a stud under vibration or movement, making it well suited for panel wiring, control boards, and equipment terminations. Licensed electricians and panel technicians are the primary installers of this terminal type.
This terminal is sized for a No. 6 stud and is compatible with wire ranges appropriate for blue-coded crimp terminals. It is commonly used in residential and light commercial electrical panels, HVAC control wiring, and industrial equipment where a secure, low-profile fork termination is required. The partial insulation allows for close terminal spacing in tight terminal blocks while still providing a measure of insulation on the conductor entry point. Each package contains 75 terminals with a minimum order quantity of 1.
Designed for use with No. 6 stud fasteners in standard crimp terminal applications. Sized and color-coded for the blue wire range typical of partially insulated crimp fork terminals.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating or removing any connections. Use a calibrated crimp tool rated for the terminal and wire gauge being terminated — an improper crimp tool can result in a high-resistance joint or pull-out failure. Do not over-insert the conductor beyond the crimp barrel, and inspect the finished crimp for barrel deformation and full wire seating before re-energizing.
