The THOMAS BETTS TV10-8LF-XV is a partially insulated locking fork terminal designed for secure, vibration-resistant electrical terminations in demanding wiring applications. The locking fork design prevents the terminal from backing off a stud under vibration or mechanical stress, making it a reliable choice where standard open-barrel forks may not hold. Built with a copper contact plated with TiN (titanium nitride) and a yellow vinyl partial insulation, this crimp-style terminal is rated for 600 volts. It is sized for a No. 8 stud and suited for licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians working on control panels, equipment wiring, and electrical enclosures.
This terminal is used in residential, commercial, and light industrial wiring where a crimp-terminated, stud-mounted connection is required on No. 8 hardware. The partial insulation provides a grip zone for tooling while leaving the barrel visible for inspection after crimping. Its yellow color coding follows standard wire gauge identification practices common in electrical assembly work. Electricians and panel builders installing control wiring, grounding connections, or equipment terminations will find this terminal a straightforward fit for conventional crimp tool workflows.
Designed as an OEM-style crimp fork terminal for use with No. 8 studs in standard electrical panel and equipment wiring installations.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize and lockout the circuit before terminating or removing any wiring. Use a calibrated crimp tool rated for the terminal type and wire gauge to ensure a proper gas-tight crimp. Do not solder over the crimp, as this can compromise the mechanical integrity of the connection.
