The THOMAS BETTS TNF14-250FD-XV is a fully insulated female wire disconnect terminal designed for secure, vibration-resistant electrical connections in trade and industrial wiring applications. Built with a blue nylon insulator, this disconnect accepts 16-14 AWG wire and mates with a 1/4 inch tab. The fully insulated design covers the entire connector body, reducing the risk of accidental contact with energized parts. It meets CSA, UL, and RoHS standards, making it suitable for use in equipment and panel wiring where certification compliance is required. Each package contains 75 pieces.
This disconnect is used in residential and commercial electrical, HVAC control wiring, appliance manufacturing, and panel assembly. Electricians and HVAC technicians use these terminals when terminating control wires to spade-tab connectors on contactors, relays, transformers, and control boards. The blue insulation color coding indicates compatibility with 16-14 AWG wire, following the industry-standard color identification system for insulated disconnect terminals. The 1/4 inch tab width is among the most common sizes found on low-voltage and line-voltage control components.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-use female disconnect terminal for 1/4 inch tab spade connections on relays, contactors, transformers, and control components accepting 16-14 AWG wire.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified HVAC technicians. De-energize the circuit and verify zero voltage with a meter before terminating or replacing any disconnect terminal. Use an appropriate ratcheting crimp tool rated for insulated terminals to ensure a gas-tight crimp. Avoid using pliers or non-rated tools, as improper crimps can result in high-resistance connections or terminal pull-out under load.
