It joins two sections of EMT conduit end-to-end, maintaining a continuous raceway without the need for set screws or tools beyond standard hand compression fittings. Made from die cast zinc, this coupling is rated for concrete-tight applications, making it suitable for installations where moisture or embedment resistance is required. The non-insulated design is standard for this fitting class. At 0.29 pounds, it is lightweight and straightforward to handle during rough-in work.
