The THOMAS BETTS TK126A is a steel, non-insulated set screw conduit coupling designed for use with EMT (electrical metallic tubing) installations. It joins two sections of EMT conduit end-to-end, maintaining a continuous raceway for electrical conductors. The set screw connection method provides a secure mechanical bond without requiring special tooling beyond a standard screwdriver or hex key. Sized for 2-inch trade size conduit, this coupling is a standard component in commercial and residential electrical rough-in work and is installed by licensed electricians and electrical contractors.
This coupling is used wherever EMT conduit runs require a straight junction — in wall, ceiling, and exposed conduit systems across residential, light commercial, and industrial applications. It is appropriate for dry, damp, and standard indoor environments typical of EMT installations. The 2-inch trade size accommodates conduit of the corresponding nominal diameter, making it a common choice for branch circuit feeders and larger wire bundle runs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for 2-inch trade size EMT conduit systems in residential and commercial electrical installations.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with NEC requirements for EMT conduit systems. De-energize all circuits in the affected raceway before opening or modifying conduit runs. Align conduit ends fully into the coupling before tightening set screws to ensure proper mechanical connection and ground continuity. Do not use this coupling with conduit types other than EMT, as fitting geometry and connection requirements differ by conduit type.
