The THOMAS BETTS TC222SC is a straight, non-insulated conduit connector designed for use with electrical metallic tubing (EMT). It uses a set screw connection method to secure the conduit to the fitting, providing a reliable mechanical bond without the need for threading or compression tools. Constructed from die cast zinc, this connector is rated for concrete-tight applications, making it suitable for installations where the fitting may be embedded in or in contact with concrete. Electricians and electrical contractors install this type of fitting as part of standard conduit system assemblies.
This connector is used in commercial and residential electrical installations where EMT conduit must terminate at a box, panel, or enclosure. Its concrete-tight rating makes it appropriate for slab, foundation, and masonry-adjacent installations. The 3/4 inch trade size matches standard 3/4 inch EMT conduit and is a common size across branch circuit and feeder conduit runs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit connector for 3/4 inch EMT conduit systems in residential and commercial electrical installations.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize and lock out the circuit or panel before beginning work. Tighten the set screw to secure the conduit using a flat-blade or hex key screwdriver as appropriate for the screw head. Ensure the connector is fully seated in the knockout before tightening to maintain the concrete-tight seal.
