The THOMAS BETTS TC216SC is a straight compression conduit connector designed for use with electrical metallic tubing (EMT). Constructed from die cast zinc, this non-insulated connector provides a concrete-tight fitting suitable for demanding installation environments. The compression-style connection secures EMT without the need for set screws, creating a reliable mechanical and electrical bond at the conduit termination point. Electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting where EMT transitions into a junction box, panel enclosure, or other electrical enclosure requiring a rated conduit entry.
This connector is intended for use in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical installations where EMT conduit is the raceway of choice. The concrete-tight rating makes it well suited for installations in concrete poured or embedded applications, wet locations, and other environments requiring a more secure seal at the fitting. It is sold individually and is compatible with standard 2-inch trade size EMT.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use connector for 2-inch trade size EMT conduit systems in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits and lock out the panel before beginning work at any enclosure entry point. The compression nut should be tightened with the appropriate hand tools to achieve a secure, concrete-tight fit without over-tightening to the point of cracking the zinc body. Verify that the conduit is fully seated in the connector before finalizing the compression fitting.
