The THOMAS BETTS RC10-14FL is a locking fork terminal designed for secure, vibration-resistant wire terminations in electrical wiring applications. This crimp-style terminal features a yellow nylon partially insulated body and a tin-plated copper contact that accepts a 1/4 inch stud. Rated at 600 volts, it is built for demanding environments where a standard open-barrel fork terminal may back off under vibration or mechanical stress. Electricians and panel technicians install this terminal when a locked, low-resistance connection to a stud or screw terminal is required and disconnection under vibration is not acceptable.
This terminal is suited for residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical work where crimp terminations to buss bars, grounding lugs, or equipment stud terminals are standard practice. The yellow color coding corresponds to the wire gauge range for which this terminal is rated. The locking fork design prevents the terminal from slipping off a stud during installation or in service, making it well-suited for panel wiring, motor control, and equipment grounding applications where terminals are subject to movement or repeated service access.

Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with NEC requirements for wire terminations. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating or inspecting connections. Use a calibrated ratchet crimp tool appropriate for the terminal wire gauge range to achieve a proper crimp — do not use pliers or uncalibrated tools. Inspect the locking tab engagement on the stud before energizing to confirm the fork is fully seated.
