The THOMAS BETTS RA18-6F is a standard fork terminal designed for secure, low-resistance wire terminations in electrical wiring applications. Constructed with a copper contact body and a TiN-plated contact surface, this terminal accepts a crimp connection and is rated for 600 volts. The nylon insulation sleeve is partially insulated, giving installers clear visibility of the wire insertion zone during termination. The red color coding indicates compatibility with the appropriate wire gauge range for this series. This terminal is sold in packages of 100, making it suitable for both single-job use and bench stock replenishment.
This fork terminal is used in residential and commercial electrical wiring, panel work, and control wiring where a reliable screw-lug connection is required. The number 6 stud size and 1/4-inch fork width fit standard terminal blocks, bus bars, and equipment studs common in electrical enclosures and control panels. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians install these terminals using a calibrated ratcheting crimp tool. The UL Listed and CSA Certified ratings make this terminal appropriate for use in installations governed by NEC and Canadian electrical code requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or stock terminal for use with number 6 stud electrical connections in residential, commercial, and light industrial wiring assemblies.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified technician. Always de-energize and lock out the circuit before crimping or connecting terminals. Use a calibrated ratcheting crimp tool matched to the terminal series to ensure a gas-tight connection. Do not over-strip wire insulation or allow bare conductor to extend beyond the terminal barrel.
