The THOMAS BETTS LCOW-25 is a single-gang steel electrical switch box designed for old-work (existing construction) installations in residential and light commercial wiring applications. The rectangular box measures 3 inches in height, 2 inches in width, and 2.25 inches in depth, providing a compact footprint for switch and device installations in finished walls. The pre-galvanized steel body offers durable corrosion resistance without requiring additional finish treatment. Five 0.5-inch knockouts are included, giving the installer flexible conduit or cable entry options on multiple sides of the enclosure. Licensed electricians are the primary installers for this type of device box.

The LCOW-25 is suited for old-construction wiring scenarios where the wall surface is already finished and a retrofit box is required. It accommodates a single wiring device such as a toggle switch, rocker switch, or duplex receptacle.
