The THOMAS BETTS HS910 is a steel, zinc-plated pipe and conduit strap designed to secure 4-inch pipe or conduit to walls, ceilings, and structural members. It features two mounting holes for fastener attachment, providing stable, two-point support that resists lateral movement. The zinc plating offers corrosion resistance suitable for standard indoor and light commercial environments. This strap is a common hardware item installed by electricians, plumbers, and pipefitters during rough-in and finish work on both new construction and retrofit projects.
The HS910 is used wherever 4-inch pipe or conduit requires positive support and anchoring. Typical applications include securing electrical conduit runs in commercial or industrial panels and junction areas, as well as supporting 4-inch plumbing drain, waste, and vent piping. The two-hole mounting pattern allows attachment to wood framing, unistrut, concrete anchors, or structural steel with standard fasteners.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and equivalent fitting for 4-inch pipe and conduit support applications. Cross-referenced to Minerallac part number HD-296 and Raco part number 2242.
Installation is typically performed by licensed electricians or plumbers following NEC or IPC support-spacing requirements for the applicable pipe or conduit type. Ensure the mounting surface is structurally sound before fastening. Select fastener size and type appropriate for the substrate, whether wood, masonry, or steel. No special tools are required beyond standard drill and driver equipment.
