The THOMAS BETTS GUAB26-TB is a round iron electrical box designed for installation in hazardous and demanding environments. Constructed from iron with a zinc-plated finish, it measures 3.5 inches in overall width and 2 inches in overall depth. The box ships with internal ground screws and includes two 0.75-inch knockouts for conduit entry. It is rated for Class I, Class II, and Class III hazardous locations across multiple division and group classifications, making it a code-compliant choice for industrial and commercial electrical work requiring certified enclosure protection.
This box is suited for commercial and industrial electrical installations where hazardous location ratings are required. Typical applications include oil and gas facilities, chemical processing plants, grain handling operations, and other environments where explosive or combustible atmospheres may be present. Licensed electricians install this type of enclosure as part of conduit systems in both Division 1 and Division 2 classified areas. Its multiple NEMA ratings extend its use to wet, washdown, and submersion-resistant applications as well.
Designed as an OEM-style hazardous location round electrical box compatible with standard 0.75-inch conduit trade-size fittings in Class I, II, and III Division 1 and 2 installations per UL 514A and UL 886 requirements.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes governing hazardous location wiring. De-energize all circuits and verify absence of voltage before opening or working inside the enclosure. Ensure conduit fittings and sealing fittings used with this box are rated for the same hazardous location classification. Do not use this enclosure with fittings or accessories that are not rated for the applicable NEC hazardous location class, division, and group.
