The THOMAS BETTS E6-12 is a non-insulated circular ring terminal designed for crimp connections on 6 AWG copper conductors. It provides a secure, low-resistance mechanical and electrical connection at ring-lug termination points in panel wiring, grounding applications, and general electrical assemblies. The terminal features a copper contact with a TiN (titanium nitride) plating that resists oxidation and maintains conductivity over time. At 1.49 inches in overall length and 0.82 inches in ring width, it is sized for a 1/2-inch stud. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers.
This ring terminal is suited for residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical work where a bare, non-insulated lug is preferred or where sleeve insulation is applied separately after crimping. It is sold in packages of 20, making it practical for multi-circuit panel terminations, bus bar connections, and grounding conductor runs. The 1/2-inch stud size fits standard terminal blocks and grounding bus bars commonly found in load centers and switchgear enclosures.
Designed as a crimp-style ring terminal for 6 AWG conductors terminating on 1/2-inch studs, suitable for use in electrical panels, grounding assemblies, and general wiring applications where non-insulated lugs are specified.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements for the applicable circuit type and voltage rating. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating any conductors. Use a calibrated ratchet crimping tool rated for the terminal and wire gauge to ensure a gas-tight crimp. Do not use pliers or uncalibrated tools as substitutes for proper crimping equipment.
