The THOMAS BETTS C10-516 is a non-insulated, D-shaped ring terminal designed for crimp connections on copper conductors ranging from 12 to 10 AWG. The terminal measures 0.98 inches in overall length and 0.5 inches in ring width, with a 5/16-inch stud size for secure fastening to bus bars, lugs, and equipment terminals. The copper contact body features a TiN (titanium nitride) plating for corrosion resistance and reliable conductivity. This terminal is sized and rated for use in control panels, junction boxes, and electrical distribution equipment where a dependable mechanical and electrical connection is required. Electricians and panel builders install these using standard ratchet or die-set crimping tools.
The C10-516 is suited for residential, commercial, and light industrial wiring applications where 12 or 10 AWG conductors must terminate at a stud-mount connection point. Typical uses include control panel wiring, motor disconnect terminations, and grounding connections. Each package contains 50 terminals, making this a practical choice for service stock or panel build jobs requiring consistent, code-compliant terminations.
Designed for use with 12 to 10 AWG copper conductors and 5/16-inch stud hardware in standard electrical panel and equipment termination applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with NEC Article 110 termination requirements. De-energize all circuits before terminating conductors. Use a calibrated ratchet crimping tool with the correct die size for 10 to 12 AWG terminals to ensure a gas-tight crimp. Do not attempt to solder these terminals after crimping, as this can create stress points and degrade the connection over time.
