The THOMAS BETTS C10-12 is a non-insulated, D-shaped ring terminal designed for crimp connections on copper conductors ranging from 10 to 12 AWG. The terminal body measures 1.21 inches in overall length and 0.72 inches in ring width, with a 1/2-inch stud hole for secure bolt-down termination. The copper contact material is plated with TiN (titanium nitride) for corrosion resistance and reliable conductivity. This terminal is suited for panel wiring, control circuits, and grounding applications where a clean, secure ring lug is required. Electricians and electrical tradespeople install this type of terminal using a calibrated crimp tool rated for the wire range.
The C10-12 is used in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical installations where 10 or 12 AWG conductors must be terminated at bus bars, grounding studs, or terminal blocks with a 1/2-inch bolt pattern. Its non-insulated construction makes it appropriate for applications where insulation is not required by design or where heat-shrink or other secondary covering is applied after crimping. The yellow color coding follows standard color-identification conventions for this AWG range.
Designed for use with 10 to 12 AWG copper conductors and compatible with 1/2-inch stud termination points including bus bars, grounding lugs, and terminal blocks in standard electrical enclosures.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements for wire terminations. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating any conductor. Use a calibrated, ratchet-style crimp tool appropriate for the AWG range and terminal type to ensure a gas-tight crimp. Inspect the completed crimp for proper conductor insertion depth and contact before closing the enclosure.
