The THOMAS BETTS ADR50 is a non-insulated square ring terminal designed for compression connections on 4 AWG aluminum conductors. The contact surface features a titanium nitride (TiN) plating for reliable electrical contact and corrosion resistance. At 2-13/16 inches in overall length and 1-1/2 inches in ring width, this terminal is built for secure lug-style terminations in electrical distribution, panel wiring, and heavy-gauge conductor applications. Installation is performed by licensed electricians and qualified electrical contractors working with aluminum feeder circuits.
This square ring terminal is suited for residential and commercial electrical installations where 4 AWG aluminum conductors terminate at bus bars, lugs, or equipment studs with a 3/8-inch stud size. The non-insulated design allows direct inspection of the compression joint after crimping. It is commonly used in service entrance wiring, load center terminations, and industrial panel assemblies where aluminum conductors are specified.
Designed for use with 4 AWG aluminum conductors and 3/8-inch stud hardware in compression lug termination applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for aluminum conductor terminations. De-energize the circuit and verify absence of voltage before crimping or securing the terminal. Use a calibrated compression crimping tool sized for the terminal and conductor gauge. Inspect the completed crimp for full conductor seating before tightening the stud fastener.
