The THOMAS BETTS ADR35 is a non-insulated, square ring terminal designed for compression-style electrical connections on 6 AWG conductors. The aluminum contact body features a titanium nitride (TiN) plating that resists corrosion and promotes reliable conductivity at the connection point. At 2.25 inches in overall length and 1.125 inches in ring width, this terminal accepts a 3/8-inch stud and delivers a secure, mechanical crimp connection. It is intended for use by licensed electricians and electrical contractors in panel wiring, grounding applications, and power distribution work where a bare, non-insulated lug is specified.
This terminal is suited for residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical installations. It is typically used where 6 AWG aluminum or copper conductors terminate at bus bars, ground bars, or equipment lugs requiring a 3/8-inch stud hole. The compression connection method ensures a gas-tight crimp when the correct die and crimping tool are used, reducing the risk of oxidation at the contact interface over time.
Designed as an OEM-style compression ring terminal for use with 6 AWG conductors requiring a 3/8-inch stud termination in standard electrical panel and grounding applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before installing or removing any terminal lug. Use a calibrated compression crimping tool with the correct die size for 6 AWG to achieve a proper gas-tight connection. Do not attempt to install this terminal using a mechanical screw-type or impact method, as this will compromise the compression joint.
