The THOMAS BETTS ADR35-21 is a non-insulated rectangle ring terminal designed for compression-style wire terminations on 6 AWG conductors. The contact is machined aluminum with a titanium nitride (TiN) plating, which resists corrosion and helps maintain a low-resistance connection over time. At 2-7/8 inches in overall length and 1-59/64 inches wide, this terminal fits a 1/2-inch stud and delivers a mechanically secure, permanent crimp connection. It is used by licensed electricians and electrical contractors in power distribution, grounding, and equipment bonding applications where a reliable, bare metal ring lug is required.
This rectangle ring terminal is suited for commercial and industrial electrical installations where aluminum conductors are terminated at bus bars, lugs, or equipment studs. The compression connection method requires a proper crimping tool matched to the AWG range. Its non-insulated design makes it appropriate for use in enclosed terminal blocks, switchgear, and panelboard applications where post-crimp insulation is applied separately or not required by code. It meets CSA, UL, and RoHS requirements, making it acceptable for use in both US and Canadian installations.
Designed as an OEM-style compression ring terminal for use with 6 AWG aluminum conductors on 1/2-inch stud terminations in commercial and industrial electrical applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician following applicable NEC requirements for aluminum conductor terminations. De-energize and lock out the circuit before making any termination. Use only a compression crimping tool rated for 6 AWG to achieve a proper crimp — do not substitute mechanical connectors for compression-style terminals. Inspect the completed crimp for deformation or cracking before restoring power.
