The THOMAS BETTS 8124 is a steel set screw conduit coupling designed for joining sections of rigid metal conduit and intermediate metal conduit (IMC) in electrical raceway installations. Built for 1/2-inch trade size conduit, it uses a set screw connection method to secure conduit ends without threading, making installation straightforward in both new construction and retrofit work. The non-insulated steel construction is rated for concrete-tight applications, making it suitable for embedment in concrete or use in damp and exposed locations where a secure, corrosion-resistant mechanical connection is required. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors are the primary installers of this fitting type.
This coupling is suited for use in commercial, industrial, and residential electrical installations where rigid conduit or IMC is specified.
