The THOMAS BETTS 58177 is a non-insulated square ring terminal designed for compression-style wire termination in heavy-duty electrical applications. The terminal features a copper contact body with a titanium nitride (TiN) plating for enhanced conductivity and corrosion resistance. At 3.31 inches in overall length and 1.61 inches in ring width, this terminal accommodates a 1/2 inch stud size. It is rated CSA Certified, UL Listed, and RoHS Compliant, making it suitable for use in regulated commercial and industrial electrical installations. Electricians and electrical contractors install this terminal in panel wiring, grounding connections, and power distribution assemblies where a secure, bare mechanical crimp connection is required.
This square ring terminal is used in commercial and industrial wiring scenarios where non-insulated, compression-type terminations are specified. Do not reuse a compression terminal once crimped, as the connection cannot be reliably re-terminated.
