Made from steel, the 5321 fits 1 inch trade size EMT and uses a compression-style connection to secure the conduit without set screws. Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). The compression nut should be tightened by hand first, then snugged with pliers or a strap wrench to achieve a watertight seal without over-torquing. Inspect the conduit end for burrs before insertion to ensure a proper compression fit.
