The THOMAS BETTS 10RC-14FL is a locking fork terminal designed for secure, vibration-resistant wire terminations in electrical wiring applications. This crimp-style terminal features partial vinyl insulation in yellow and is rated for 600 volts. The copper contact body uses a TiN (titanium nitride) plating for reliable conductivity and corrosion resistance. The locking fork design prevents the terminal from backing off a stud under vibration or thermal cycling, making it well suited for panel wiring, control enclosures, and industrial equipment. Electricians and electrical contractors install this terminal using standard hand or ratchet crimp tooling.
This terminal is used in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical applications where a reliable, removable stud connection is required. The 1/4 inch stud size fits standard terminal blocks, bus bars, and equipment lugs. The yellow color coding indicates the applicable wire gauge range for this series. The partially insulated vinyl body protects the barrel while leaving the fork exposed for direct contact with the stud or lug. It is commonly installed in control panels, distribution boards, and equipment wiring requiring a positive mechanical connection.
Designed for use with 1/4 inch studs on standard terminal blocks, bus bars, and equipment lugs in electrical panel and control wiring applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating or removing any wiring. Use a crimp tool rated for the terminal series to achieve a proper mechanical and electrical connection. Do not solder crimp terminals, as this can compromise the crimp joint and void listings.
