The THHNCU-GENERIC thhn10strgry2500r is a 10 AWG stranded copper building wire rated for general-purpose electrical wiring in residential and commercial applications. The conductor is made of copper with a 19-strand configuration, covered by gray PVC insulation and a nylon jacket. It carries a 600-volt rating and a temperature rating of 90 degrees C in dry conditions and 75 degrees C in wet conditions. Ampacity is 30 amps at 90 degrees C, 20 amps at 75 degrees C, and 20 amps at 60 degrees C. The reel contains 2500 feet of wire, making it suited for larger jobs or supply stocking.
This wire is used in conduit runs for branch circuits, feeders, and general wiring in residential and light commercial construction and service work. The THHN rating makes it appropriate for use in raceway systems, conduit, and cable trays where dry or damp locations are encountered. At 10 AWG, it is commonly pulled for 20-amp and 30-amp circuits including dryer feeds, water heater circuits, and HVAC equipment connections. Electricians and electrical contractors are the primary installers.
Designed for use in conduit, raceways, and cable trays as a THHN-rated building wire suitable for 600-volt dry and damp location wiring in residential and commercial electrical systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out all circuits before pulling or terminating wire. THHN wire must be installed in conduit or raceway — it is not rated for direct burial or exposed outdoor use without additional protection. Verify ampacity derating requirements when bundling multiple conductors in a single conduit run.
