The THHNCU-GENERIC thhn10solbrn2500r is a 10 AWG solid plain copper THHN building wire rated at 600 volts and supplied on a 2500-foot reel. The conductor is insulated with PVC and jacketed with nylon, meeting the THHN designation for use in conduit and cable trays. Temperature ratings are 90 degrees C in dry locations and 75 degrees C in wet locations. Current capacity is 30 amps at 90 degrees C, 20 amps at 75 degrees C, and 20 amps at 60 degrees C. The brown insulation color supports standard circuit color-coding practices. Electricians and electrical contractors are the primary installers of this wire in both residential and commercial applications.
This wire is suited for branch circuit wiring, feeder runs, and general-purpose electrical installations where THHN-rated conductors are required. The 2500-foot reel format is well-suited for large commercial or multi-unit residential projects where pulling significant lengths of wire through conduit in a single run reduces splice points and job-site waste. The solid construction makes it appropriate for panel feeds, junction box terminations, and conduit installations where solid conductors are acceptable per local code.
Designed for use in conduit, raceways, and cable trays in commercial and residential electrical systems where THHN-rated 10 AWG solid copper conductors at 600 volts are specified.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before making any terminations. Use a properly sized wire reel stand to prevent kinking or damage to the insulation during the pull. Verify conduit fill calculations using the 0.152-inch outer diameter before running wire alongside other conductors.
