The THHNCU-GENERIC thhn10strred2500r is a 10 AWG stranded copper THHN building wire rated at 600 volts, supplied on a 2500-foot reel in red insulation. The conductor is built with 19 strands of copper, giving it flexibility during pull-through in conduit runs. PVC insulation meets THHN standards with a 90 degrees C dry rating and 75 degrees C wet rating. Ampacity is 30 amps at 90 degrees C, 20 amps derated to 60 degrees C or 75 degrees C, depending on the termination rating of the connected equipment. Licensed electricians use this wire for branch circuit and feeder wiring in commercial and residential applications.
This wire is suited for use in conduit, raceways, and cable trays in dry or damp locations. The 2500-foot reel format is intended for larger jobs where pulling continuous runs without splices is required, such as panel feeds, sub-panel circuits, multi-circuit conduit bundles, and light commercial construction. Red insulation aids phase identification in multi-conductor installations where color coding is part of the site wiring convention.
Designed for use in conduit, raceways, and cable trays where THHN-rated 10 AWG copper wire is specified. Suitable for residential and light commercial branch circuit and feeder wiring per NEC requirements.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit or panel before terminating conductors. Use appropriately rated connectors and lugs that match the conductor size and material. Do not exceed the ampacity rating of the wire based on conduit fill, ambient temperature correction, and termination temperature ratings as required by NEC Article 310.
