The TESTO 0609 5602 is a pipe wrap probe equipped with a Pt100 resistance temperature sensor, designed for fast and accurate surface temperature measurement on pipes. The probe wraps securely around the pipe exterior, maximizing contact between the sensor and the pipe surface to deliver reliable readings. It is used in conjunction with a compatible TESTO measuring instrument and is suited for HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration service work where non-invasive pipe surface temperature readings are required. The probe accommodates pipe diameters ranging from 6 to 120 mm, covering a wide range of residential and commercial pipe sizes.
This probe is well suited for field technicians performing pipe temperature diagnostics on hydronic heating systems, chilled water lines, refrigerant suction and liquid lines, and domestic hot and cold water distribution piping. It provides a non-penetrating measurement method, making it practical for quick checks on insulated or uninsulated pipes without cutting into the line. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and mechanical contractors will find it useful for commissioning, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance tasks.
Designed for use with compatible TESTO measuring instruments that accept a Pt100 pipe wrap probe input. Suitable for measurements on pipes ranging from 6 to 120 mm in diameter.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician, plumber, or mechanical contractor familiar with temperature measurement equipment. Wrap the probe firmly and evenly around the pipe surface, ensuring maximum sensor-to-pipe contact for accurate readings. Verify that the connected measuring instrument is set to the correct probe type before taking measurements. Avoid placing the probe on pipes with heavy surface corrosion or debris that could reduce contact quality and affect reading accuracy.
