The TESA BROWN SHARPE 599-7034-5 is a horizontal-style dial test indicator from the BesTest series, designed for precision dimensional measurement in machining, metrology, and quality control applications. It features a 1-inch diameter black dial with a 0-10-0 reading scale, a maximum measurement range of 0.02 inches, and a graduation of 0.0005 inches per division. The lever-type design incorporates an integrated shockproof system and delivers low measuring force to protect delicate workpiece surfaces. Machinists, toolmakers, and metrology technicians use this indicator for runout checks, surface comparisons, and fixture setup.
This indicator is suited for use in precision machine shops, inspection rooms, and production floor quality control stations. The horizontal style allows close-clearance access to bores, slots, and recessed surfaces where straight-plunger indicators cannot reach. The rotating dial enables zero-setting at any position without moving the indicator body. It ships with a 0.08-inch insert, a mounting rod, a wrench, a Declaration of Conformity certificate, and a measurement report, making it ready for immediate deployment in calibrated or traceable inspection environments.
Designed for use with standard indicator mounting rods and magnetic base holders accepting the included mounting rod. Compatible with typical dial indicator fixture setups used in general metrology and machine tool inspection applications.
A licensed metrology technician or qualified machinist should mount and zero this indicator before use. Secure the mounting rod in a rigid holder to prevent deflection during measurement. Apply only the minimum clamping force needed to seat the mounting rod, as over-tightening can distort the holder stem and introduce measurement error. Do not exceed the stated 0.02-inch measurement range, as over-travel may damage the internal lever mechanism.
