The TESA BROWN SHARPE 599-7032-3 is a horizontal-style dial test indicator from the BesTest series, designed for precision measurement in machining, toolroom, and quality-control applications. It delivers a maximum measurement range of 0.008 inches per revolution with 0.0001-inch graduations and 0.0001-inch accuracy, making it suitable for runout checks, surface alignment, and part inspection. The indicator features a rotating white dial with a 1-inch diameter face and a 0-5-0 bidirectional reading scale. An integrated shockproof system protects the movement during typical shop-floor use. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and quality technicians are the primary users of this instrument.
The 599-7032-3 is suited for horizontal mounting configurations on surface plates, magnetic bases, and machine tool fixtures in both production and toolroom environments. The lever-type contact system accepts the included 0.080-inch diameter ball-tip contact point with a contact point length of 0.5 inches. Low measuring force reduces deflection on delicate workpieces. The unit ships complete with a 2 mm insert, mounting rod, wrench, plastic case, Declaration of Conformity certificate, and a measurement report, making it ready to put into service immediately.
Designed as an OEM-style precision dial test indicator compatible with standard dovetail and stem-mount indicator holders used in horizontal-style lever indicator applications.
Installation is performed by machinists or metrologists using the included mounting rod and a compatible indicator holder or magnetic base stand. Secure the mounting rod firmly before zeroing the dial to prevent measurement drift. The rotating bezel allows the dial to be zeroed to the workpiece reference point after positioning. Handle contact points carefully during tip changes and use the included wrench rather than improvised tools to avoid damaging the contact arm.
