The TEMPIL 28067 is a Tempilstik temperature indicating marker stick rated to 1550 degrees F (843 degrees C). It is used to verify surface temperature during welding, heat treating, brazing, and other thermal processes. The stick applies directly to a work surface and melts instantly when the material reaches the designated temperature, providing a clear, immediate visual confirmation. No calibration is required. Accuracy is within plus or minus 1 percent of the Fahrenheit rating and plus or minus 3 percent of the Celsius rating. This marker is used by welders, pipefitters, and metalworkers who need reliable, on-the-spot temperature verification.
The 28067 is suited for field and shop use across a wide range of thermal applications. It works on aluminum, ceramic, glass, iron, plastic, stainless steel, and carbon steel surfaces. The bullet tip allows precise application to joints, heat-affected zones, and hard-to-reach workpiece areas. It is commonly used in structural welding, HVAC ductwork fabrication, boiler work, and pipe welding where preheat and interpass temperature control is required by code or procedure.
Designed for use on aluminum, ceramic, glass, iron, plastic, stainless steel, and steel surfaces where surface temperature verification is required during heating or welding operations.
Applied by trade professionals including welders, pipefitters, and HVAC fabricators. Apply the marker stick to the workpiece surface before or during heating and observe for the melt point as the surface approaches the target temperature. Keep the marker away from open flame contact, as the stick should contact only the workpiece surface to reflect actual material temperature. Store in a cool, dry location to maintain integrity of the temperature-indicating compound.
