The TEMPIL 28055 is a Tempilstik temperature indicating marker rated at 950 degrees F (510 degrees C). It is a wax-based stick applied directly to a work surface before or during heating. When the surface reaches the rated temperature, the tip melts instantly, providing an immediate and clear visual confirmation. No instruments or calibration are required. Accuracy is within plus or minus 1 percent of the Fahrenheit rating. This tool is used by welders, pipefitters, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and metalworkers who need reliable heat verification during brazing, preheating, stress relieving, and post-weld heat treatment operations.
The TEMPIL 28055 is suited for use on a wide range of substrate materials including aluminum, ceramic, glass, iron, plastic, stainless steel, and carbon steel. It is appropriate for both shop and field environments where preheat or process temperature must be confirmed before proceeding with a weld, braze, or heat treatment. The bullet-tip shape allows precise application on pipes, fittings, plate, and structural members. A full range of 116 temperatures is available in this product family, from 100 degrees F (38 degrees C) to 2000 degrees F (1093 degrees C).
Designed for use on aluminum, ceramic, glass, iron, plastic, stainless steel, and steel surfaces. Suitable for any application requiring surface temperature verification at 950 degrees F (510 degrees C).
Apply the marker to the workpiece surface in the area to be monitored before or during heating. When the marked spot melts, the surface has reached the rated temperature. Allow the work surface to cool to a safe temperature before handling. This product is typically used by certified welders, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians in accordance with applicable welding procedure specifications and safety codes.
