The TEMPIL 26702 is a multi-rating temperature indicating label designed to give technicians a fast, non-intrusive surface temperature reading without instruments. Each strip carries four calibrated heat-sensitive indicators rated at 77, 82, 88, and 93 degrees C (170 degrees F at the lowest rating), which permanently change color or turn black when the corresponding threshold is reached. At 0.5 inches tall and 1 inch wide, the label fits on tight surfaces and delivers a permanent visual record of peak temperature exposure. HVAC techs, electricians, and mechanical contractors use these labels to verify surface temps on equipment, piping, electrical panels, and mechanical assemblies during commissioning and ongoing service.
These labels are rated for application to a wide range of surface materials including metal, plastic, glass, rubber, wood, ceramic, concrete, and stone. That versatility makes them practical across residential and commercial HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and industrial mechanical work. A typical use case is bonding one to a refrigerant line, motor housing, flue pipe, or electrical enclosure to document whether a temperature threshold was exceeded during a service interval or under load. Each package contains 10 labels, and the minimum order quantity is 1 package.
Designed for use on any clean, dry surface across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical applications where surface temperature monitoring or documentation is required.
Licensed HVAC technicians, electricians, and pipefitters typically apply these labels as part of commissioning or preventive maintenance routines. Clean and dry the target surface before application to ensure full adhesion. Labels should be placed where they will not be disturbed by vibration or repeated contact. Do not apply over paint, oil, or contaminated surfaces, as adhesion and accuracy may be affected.
