The TEMPIL 24421 is a temperature indicating liquid designed to give tradespeople a fast, reliable visual confirmation of surface temperature during heat-related work. Applied to metal, glass, or plastic surfaces, it dries quickly in both horizontal and vertical orientations and melts at exactly 650 degrees F (343 degrees C), leaving a clearly visible mark at that threshold. Accuracy is rated within plus or minus 1 percent of the Fahrenheit target and plus or minus 3 percent of the Celsius equivalent. The enhanced formula reduces settling in the container between uses. Each unit ships in a 2-ounce container.
This product is used in HVAC, plumbing, welding, and fabrication applications where surface temperature verification is required before or during a process. It is suited for fieldwork and shop use alike, applied to metal pipe, glass, and other heat-exposed surfaces. Typical users include HVAC technicians, pipefitters, welders, and industrial maintenance personnel who need a low-cost, no-equipment method of confirming that a surface has reached or not yet reached a target temperature.
Designed for use on glass, metal, and plastic surfaces where surface temperature verification up to 650 degrees F is required.
Apply the liquid to a clean, dry surface in the area where temperature monitoring is needed, then allow it to dry before exposing the surface to heat. The mark will visibly change when the rated temperature is reached. Follow all applicable workplace safety guidelines when working near open flames, hot surfaces, or pressurized systems. Ensure the surface is depressurized and safe to access before application in live-system environments.
