The TEMPIL 24405 is a temperature indicating liquid designed to provide accurate thermal monitoring on surfaces during heat-related trade work. Applied directly to glass, metal, or plastic surfaces, the liquid melts at its designated temperature and leaves a clearly visible mark, allowing technicians to confirm when a target surface temperature has been reached. The 2-ounce container is sized for field and shop use. The formula dries fast on both horizontal and vertical surfaces and includes an enhanced formulation to reduce settling in the container. Accuracy is rated within plus or minus 1 percent of Fahrenheit and plus or minus 3 percent of Celsius.
This temperature indicating liquid is used across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and industrial service work wherever surface temperature verification is required. Common applications include brazing and soldering operations on copper and metal pipe, heat-sensitive component inspection, and process monitoring on glass or metal equipment. The product is applied before heating begins, and the visible melt mark serves as a direct indicator that the target temperature has been achieved at that specific point on the surface.
Designed for use on glass, metal, and plastic surfaces where surface temperature verification is required during heating operations.
Temperature indicating liquids are typically applied by HVAC technicians, plumbers, and industrial service professionals prior to heating operations such as brazing or soldering. Apply a small amount to the target surface before introducing heat. Observe the application point during heating — the liquid melts and changes appearance at the rated temperature. Follow all applicable safety procedures when working with open flame or high-heat equipment, and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
