The TEKTON 66062 is a roll pin punch designed for driving and removing roll pins, also called spring pins or slotted spring pins, from assemblies in mechanical, automotive, and industrial applications. The punch is machined from high-carbon steel for the hardness and impact resistance needed to withstand repeated hammer blows without deforming the tip. At 5.5 inches overall length, the 66062 gives the technician adequate grip and control in tight work spaces. The 5/64-inch tip diameter targets small-diameter roll pins commonly found in linkages, shafts, and precision assemblies.
This punch is used by mechanics, machinists, and field service technicians when disassembling or reassembling components held together by roll pins. It is suited for bench work and in-the-field repairs on automotive driveline components, hand tools, firearms, and light industrial machinery. The compact tip diameter makes it a go-to choice when working on small-frame assemblies where standard punches are too large to engage the pin cleanly.
Designed for use with 5/64-inch roll pins across a range of mechanical assemblies in automotive, industrial, and general maintenance applications.
A roll pin punch is used by automotive technicians, machinists, and maintenance professionals. Always use a ball-peen or dead-blow hammer matched to the work scale and support the workpiece to prevent movement during driving. Safety glasses are required when striking metal punches. Inspect the punch tip before each use and remove it from service if the tip shows mushrooming or cracking.
