The TECHNIKS 22253 is an ER32 collet chuck with a CAT40 taper shank, designed for use in CNC machining centers and vertical mills. It accepts ER32 collets and provides a projection of 2.76 inches from the spindle face, with an overall length of 5.44 inches. The chuck covers a collet capacity range of 1/16 inch minimum to 3/4 inch maximum, making it suitable for a wide range of cutting tool shank sizes. Machinists and CNC operators install this chuck directly into the machine spindle to secure end mills, drills, reamers, and other rotary tooling during milling and drilling operations.
This ER32 collet chuck is used in production and job-shop environments where reliable tool holding in a CAT40 spindle is required. It is appropriate for general-purpose milling, drilling, and reaming on vertical and horizontal machining centers equipped with a CAT40 spindle interface. The 2.76-inch projection suits applications where moderate clearance from the spindle face is needed without sacrificing rigidity.
Designed for use with ER32 series collets in machining centers equipped with a CAT40 spindle interface. Accepts cutting tool shanks from 1/16 inch to 3/4 inch.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before installing or removing the chuck. Use the appropriate CAT40 retention knob and drawbar torque procedure as specified by the machine manufacturer. Inspect the taper shank and spindle bore for contamination or damage before seating the chuck.
