The TECHNIKS 05550 is a rigid tap collet designed for use in ER25 collet chucks. It holds M10 hand taps securely during tapping operations, eliminating the axial float found in tension-compression holders. The collet is sized at 10 mm with an 8 mm square drive engagement, matching standard M10 hand tap shanks. Through-coolant is not supported. This collet is installed by machinists and CNC operators in milling machines, machining centers, and drill presses where rigid tapping cycles are programmed or performed manually.

This collet is suited for rigid tapping applications in job shops, production machining, and toolroom environments. It fits into any ER25-compatible collet chuck or toolholder.
