The TE-CO 10314 is a tapped hole location gage designed to verify and locate threaded holes in workpieces during fixturing and machining setups. Built from steel, this gage accepts a 1/2-20 UNF thread with a 3/8 inch thread length and a 3/8 inch shaft length. The 7/8 inch head diameter provides a positive seating surface against the workpiece face, and overall length measures 1 inch. Machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders rely on location gages like this one to confirm hole position before committing to a final setup or clamping configuration.
The 10314 is suited for use in machine shops, toolrooms, and production environments where tapped hole location must be confirmed in steel or similar workpiece materials. It threads directly into a 1/2-20 UNF tapped hole and serves as a positive reference point for jig boring, milling, and fixture alignment operations. The compact overall length makes it practical in tight setups where clearance is limited.
Designed for use with workpiece tapped holes threaded to the 1/2-20 UNF standard. Suitable for fixture plates, jig bodies, and machined workpieces with compatible threaded hole patterns.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolmakers during workholding and fixture setup. Thread the gage into the target 1/2-20 UNF tapped hole by hand until the head seats flush against the workpiece surface. Ensure the machine is powered down and all moving axes are locked before referencing the gage for setup measurements. Do not apply excessive torque, as this gage is a locating reference tool, not a structural fastener.
